"Attention! Listen up!" Kou shouted, his higher ranging voice echoing among the rocks found at the edge of the lake they were sitting on. " Our last encounter with the angels didn't go so well! We are headed for Demon Lands at the end of the week! Everyone must be prepared!" He was standing on a rock looking down at everyone's non enthusiasm.
"We have to go and do this right?" Ren asked, looking up at his younger half-sibling from a rock he was sitting against.
Shall was glaring at the both of them. 'I'd hate to interrupt this fine meeting, but should we not be heading towards Edge? We already have the demon's on our side.' his voice echoed throughout everyone's head.
"It's too dangerous until we get back on our feet! We have to re-energize and stock up, therefore we are headed towards the City of Darkness!"
"I do have a bad feeling about this though, Kou. We should really head for the canyons and stay there until we recover." Ren stated simply.
Kou sighed. "Alright! Anyone else care to object to having a nice warm bed to sleep in? Who else would rather either sleep on the rocks or get our butts handed to us backwards by angels!? Come on! let's hear it!"

Nickle sighed, rather used to the brothers by now. He gingerly touched a wound on his sister's wing, running his fingers over the smooth feathers to find the worst hurting spot. Only once she twitched under his touch did he pull out a small herbal mixture, putting a light coat of it over the injury before wrapping it in bandages. He wasn't worried about the small cuts and scratches. "There." The angel smiled at Ilari.
The other angel was watching Adrian out of the corner of her eye, making sure he was feeling alright. The last thing they needed was the carry the fire demon to the canyons. She tilted her head back, giving her younger brother a small smile. "Thanks."
"No problem, really. I better go help anyone else who needs it." Nickle stood, checking on how much of the antibiotic he had left. Enough for more less serious wounds than large gaping holes in limbs.
Adrian meanwhile, was smiling, shaking his head at the sudden change in plans, chuckling to himself. "If the angels don't get you, Kou and his leadership will." Obviously his words were meant as a joke, the smile and chuckles coming from him proof enough of that.
Both silbings rolled their eyes.

"Are you challenging me?" Kou asked, looking almost as if he were on fire in the light of the setting sun. He jumped down from his rock, being stopped by Ren, who had put a hand on his younger sibling's shoulder. "Calm yourself Kou. No purpose in attacking your fellow PeaceKeepers. Whats the point in bringing peace to the land if we cannot keep it within our own ranks?" He asked, a small smile on his face.
Kou huffed. "Fine. We rest here tonight and begin heading for Darkness tommorow."
'I still do not think it a very wise idea. I feel there is battle near there.'
"And if we don't go we are trapped out here with no food, no medicine and no shelter. Would you rather have that Shalli?"
Shall rolled his blood colored eyes and wandered over to the water. 'And what ever will we do when we run out of water here hm? It is filthy here. Almost as if the gods themselves are punishing us for what we are doing. Edge has fresh food and water. The dmons have all but rationed themselves into starvation. Will you make us all suffer for your own needs, dear brother?' The last two words were spat our as if they were poison on his mental tongue.
"We are going to Darkness whether you agree to come or not." Kou spat, furious that his half-brother was going against him.

"Of course not." Adrian held up his hands to show he meant no harm. "Just a mere friendly joke. No one rules like you do." He kept quiet during the little fight, letting out a small sigh and giving Ilari a little shrug. They were getting nowhere this way. Sure, at some points, the bickering siblings were fun to watch, but this was putting everyone on edge. Even the usually calm demon shifted ever so slightly.
Nickle opened his mouth to say something but closed it, deciding against saying anything. He might have been able to find something out here that would help, even a little, medicine-wise. The angel didn't know for sure, but it wouldn't help to look. However, he didn't want to bring the wrath of Kou or Shall onto him.
Resting her chin on her hand and her arm on her crossed leg, Ilari rolled her dark green eyes once more. This was just great. She was hurt and rarely in the mood to deal with any headaching squables.

The fight ended quickly, Shall walking off to be alone for awhile, always hating losing against Kou. And Kou, walking over to his group and starting a small fire to keep everyone warm as the sun sank. "I apologize. But truly. I wish to know what everyone thinks. Should we go to Darkness? Or shall we head to Edge? Or spend time at our base in the Canyon? I leave it up to what the group decides, seeing as how we are at an impass..."
Ren smiled a little. "I am fine with what everyone else decides." He gave a small nudge to his younger sibling, telling him he was doing a good job.
Kou was still a little nervous though. he had only been the leader of the PeaceKeepers for a little under a month now, only because his mentor died in a fight, leaving him and his siblings alone to fight. No one of the old crew liked him. He was hoping he could start fresh with the members he had picked up along the way.

Relaxing, Adrian shrugged, sincing at the action. "Truthfully, it sounds like we're stuck no matter what we do."
"Since there are injured, the canyon would be best. We don't know what to expect at Darkness or Edge these days. The angels could be waiting to ambush as soon as we got close." Ilari looked at the other faces around the fire, letting her wings fold against her back with barely a glance of unease. "Unless we have good reason to head to Edge of Darkness."
The younger angel came to sit between Adrian and Ilari, catching the last bit of her little speech. "I'm running low on anything that could help the injuries. With dirty water, wounds won't get cleaned correctly. There might be something along the way, but other than that, someone is bound to get an infected wound if there's any more fighting."
"So, what? We can't stay here and we don't know what to expect. Why not just head to where we need to go and hope for the best?"
"Because not everyone is as moronic as you are."
"Says the angel that got hit in the wing."
She glared at him. Both were good at holding their own in a battle and both had gotten their butts handed to them in the last fight. He was the last person she wanted to hear anything from.

Kou sighed. "Alright. So this is getting us nowhere. We have no supplies, so edge or Darkness would be the best places to go. However, Edge is harder to get to with all of the Angelic patrols. We could go to the Canyon, but we have no supplies left at our base either." Kou looked at them. "I know Darkness is starting to run itself down, but it's our only hope at the moment... Anyone with me raise your hand!" He put his hand in the air, Ren soon followed.

Following the logic, the fire demon raised his hand, looking at the two siblings for their responce, an almost childish look in his eyes.
The two exchanged a look. Bringing their injured and most likely hungry group to an already run down city? Was that such a good idea? Still, it was their only choice at the moment. Both raised their hands, looking back at the others. "We should keep two patrols going at all times. Since the angels might be following us and we don't know if there are hostile parties along the way. One scouting party and another for the rear. That is, if our leader agrees?" Ilari turned her eyes to Kou, waiting for his decision on the matter. He was the leader afterall.

Kou sighed. Did they really have enough energy left in them for that? "I don't know. It'd be safer if we all stick together. Tell ya what. Ren can carry on behind us, and I'll stay in the lead, watching out for hostile parties. Sound good?" He asked, knowing that both him and Ren could fight and get the others to safety if needed.
Ren nodded his approval, worrying a little about his brother and the group. Everyone was exhausted from their last battle. After hearing the group's replies, Kou began speaking once again. "I will stay up tonight on patrol. Everyone else get some rest." Had Kou just said that? They needed their leader to be energized, ready to lead them, and yet. He had offered to stay up protecting them all night. Ren smiled. He nodded towards Kou, and stood, walking a small distance away to lay against a rock that was still a bit warmed.

"If you need rest, wake Adrian or me up," the female stated, scooting until her back was pressed against a rock, arms folded over her chest. She closed one eye, watching Kou for a second before closing the other, settling down just fine with the feathered apendages acting as a sort of pillow.
Nodding, the other demon moved only a bit away from the fire, stretching out on his side with one arm under his head. Adrian waved a hand. "'Night. Don't let any unusual flesh eating insects bite."
Smiling, Nickle trotted over to his sister, curling up besides here. They had one long day tomorrow.

Soon enough, Ren was going about waking everyone up, and quietly pointing to his sleeping brother. Kou had fallen asleep not even ten minutes before the sunrise. Ren walked over to Ilari. He shook her gently, wanting her to be up first. "Kou is sleeping. Lets get everything ready to go before we wake him. He was up all night..." Ren then walked over to Adrian and woke him up as well. "Shh... Don't wake Kou. Let's get everyone ready to go." Ren did a quick count. Everyone was there but one person. Shall. "That traitor. Probably gone to tell the Angels to follow us..."

Ilari opened her eyes, looking at Ren. With a nod, she gently shook Nickle's shoulder, waking him up before she moved, his head finding its way onto her foot. A harded gaze came to her eyes as she caught wind of the news of Shall. "Will Kou wait for him or leave?" she hissed to Ren, not liking the fact that they were sitting ducks with everyone half asleep.
Startling awake Adrian looked around a bit before realizing where he was. Stretching as far as he could, the demon yawned, rolling over onto his stomach and pushing himself up. "What do we need to do? Besides the obvious."
"Do you even know what the obvious is?" Ilari asked. The confused look gave her the answer she needed. Eyes rolled.
Yawning, Nickle joined the rest in consciousness, rubbing sleep from his eyes.

Ren started a fire and began cooking what little food he had left personally. "This is it for my stores... Here. eat up, all of you." He said, standing. He looked to Ilari. "I don't know. As much as I dislike him, Shall is Kou's brother."

"I know, no matter what you did, I'd come look for you, Ilari," the male angel stated, looking at his sister. "But Kou and Shall's relationship might be different. We'll just have to wait and see."
Taking a bite of the food, Adrian snorted. "I say leave him. We'll deal with him the next time we see the little jerk. Until then, we just have to worry about surviving."

Ren grabbed a bit of food and brought it over to Kou, kneeling down in front of his brother. "Kou... Kou.. Wake up..."
Lightly colored violet eyes opened. "Ren..."
"Here. Eat." He placed the food in Kou's lap and walked back to the group.
Kou sighed and ate it. he knew he'd need it for the day ahead. he glanced at the group, walking over with the last few bites of his serving in his mouth. "Where's Shall?"
