"Well, one can only assume that he's jumped ship. Vamoosed. Gone astray." Adrian made a show of it, acting all dramatic about the entire thing. He shut up as soon as Ilari elbowed him in the side, glaring at him. "What? It's true. I'm not going to lie to him. It's not like Shall's dead or anything."
"You could have said it a bit more subtle," she growled at him.
Deciding it a bit more appropriate to explain the siutation delicately, Nickle spoke up. "No one has seen Shall's since he left last night. He must be around here somewhere."

Kou was beyond angry. "He was here last night. I know where he's gone. I can't just let him go alone. But I need to get you all to safety first. I will take you to Darkness as planned. Then. I will go find my brother. PeaceKeepers come before those who wish us dead." he said, a new fire of hatred in his eyes. He would get them to Darkness, even if he died doing it.

Niether of the three were willing to watch their leader leave after getting barely any sleep the night before alone. But, they were in no position to argue. They could gang up on Kou, but what would that give them? He was determined as hell to go find Shall. So, Ilari and Adrian nodded. If it came down to it, they could follow Kou. Ask one of the animal demons to track him when everyone got worried.

Kou was paying no attention to the plotting that was going through everyone's heads. He was going to search for his brother near Edge. "To DARKNESS!!!!" He shouted.

"Aye aye, Cap'n!" saluted Adrian, standing to attention. A lopsided grin crossed his face. "Alright! You heard the man! Let's get moving!"
Green eyes rolled, Ilari shaking her head. "That idiot. He's going to get himself killed one of these days." She collected her twin swords, slipping them into the sheaths on her back.
Nickle laughed. "But you do have to admit, he does make things interesting."

Kou shook his head. "Ya know... I should hit you for that remark..."
Ren was busy packing up the last of the campsite. "Ready."
"Let's get moving then." Kou walked a few feet ahead of everyone else.

"Yet, you won't." Adrian grinned. He trailed after Kou, keeping well aware of their surroundings. As laid back as he was, even he knew that they were screwed if another fight broke out. The fire demon had his hands behind his head, a relatively lazy look on his face.
Ilari sighed, shaking her head. What did Kou expect them to do once they got there? Sit back and wait for him? She had never been good at waiting during stressful moments.

Ren kept glancing behind them. Something wasn't right. There was shadows in places of sunlight, and light in places of shadows. "The Gates... Kou! The Gates!" He shouted, running towards his brother.
Kou looked back. "Ren?" He heard the call, his eyes widened. "The... Gates? Oh shit! To The Gates! The Gates are opening! We can't let the Angels get passed them!"

"Dammit all!" Adrian cursed.
Ilari drew one of her swords, preparing for battle. "Nickle! Don't do anything drastic or stupid. Same goes for you, Adrian!" Her wing hadn't fully healed yet. Still, she let them stretch out before folding them back up once more.
"Oi! Who do you think you're talking to? I'm always levelheaded."
She 'tsked'. "You know what I'm talking about,"

Kou ran forwards, fire and ice flaring around him. "Those bastards!!"
Ren followed up, running as fast as he could, fire spinning around him as well. The brothers were pissed. The Gates were never opened! Never! There were ways around them! Were the angels really that foolish.
Coming up on it, they saw what was the cause. Demons were lined up, preparing to go through it, and at the front was a very familiar face. "Shall!! What the fuck do you think you are doing!?"
A smirk crossed the ice demon's features. 'I told you I'd get to Edge unharmed, one way or another, dear brother' 'CHARGE THE GATES!'

Adrian growled, a small ball of fire forming in his hand. "Freakin' bastard! I can't believe I trusted that guy." What would Kou do now? Fight his brother or have them retreat? He cast a small glance in the direction of the Peacekeeper's leader, keeping himself ready for a fight. "What now, Kou?"
"We can't just let them open the gates!" Ilari snarled, adjusting the grip on her sword. "No matter who it is that's opening them."

Kou put his hand up. "Wait. He can't open the Gates unless he has a God with him. I know Shall is manipulative. But I doubt that he'd be strong enough to Manipulate a God."
Kou watched, drawing nearer to the gates just in case.
!@#$%^&*(-)
Shall looked up onto the ridge his brother and the PeaceKeepers were standing. "We want our payment if you are going to make us go onto angel territory. Or we stay right where we are." Javelin's golden eyes narrowed. He didn't trust the demon in front of him. After all. he took orders from no one but Luca himself.
'Trust me. You will receive payment as soon as they are taken out.'
"I really don't trust you, but I will go along with this for now."

"Can we be sure about that?" Ilari muttered, not relaxing one bit. Even Adrian didn't seem to drop his guard. How long would they survive a fight? Her eyes narrowed in thought. It was a dangerous idea Kou had, bringing them here.

Kou was the first to spot him. "A.. God?" Ren had also spotted him, and pointed him out to everyone else. Trouble was coming. He saw the smirk on his brother's face, even from the ridge. "How the hell did he manage that one...?"
!@#$%^&*(-)
Shall smirked as the God walked up to him. "I shouldn't help you do this... But... Saryu is on the other side right?"
Shall nodded.
"Then I guess it wouldn't-" Hmm?"
"Lookie lookie what we have here Rashie. A God and a horde of Demons. Up to no good Shalli-boy?"
"Kashie? Sould we get in their way?"
"I dunno. But the Gates are not to be opened by anyone but it's guardians. Even a God has no power over the Gate Guards!"
"Kashie..."

"Dammit all," hissed the female angel. She prepared herself to attack should the God even get near the gates. As skilled and intelligent as a fighter she was, Ilari was no match for a God.
Adrian growled lowly in his throat, taking one half step back. This was bad. This was very bad. But luck seemed to be on their side. At least he hoped it was.
